The Annual Plan of Gujarat was today finalised at Rs 23,500 crore, a 12 per cent hike from last year's Plan size, with Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia lauding the Narendra Modi government for remarkable all-round progress with thrust on inclusiveness.

The Plan size was agreed at a meeting in Yojana Bhawan here between Dr Ahluwalia and Mr Modi, supported by officials from the two sides.

After finalising the Plan size, Dr Ahluwalia was all praise for the Gujarat government for its sound performance in almost all sectors. Besides, he said the rapid industrialising state of Gujarat had not lost sight of performing well on human development indicators.
